Takano Chikko
Founded in 1968 in Nagaokakyō — the Nishiyama-Otokuni district Kyoto's bamboo has come from for centuries. Bamboo work, sashimono joinery, urushi lacquer and maki-e all happen under one roof, which is unusual: most workshops do one and send the rest out.
