Bamboo Trivet handcrafted in Kyoto, Japan - protects your table from hot pots and pans.
In the bamboo groves west of Kyoto, the workshop of Nagaoka Meichiku tends and crafts kyo-meichiku - the famous ornamental bamboos of Kyoto prized for centuries in tea houses and temples: pale shirotake, sesame-speckled gomadake, and tortoise-shell kikko-chiku. Every piece is cut, cured and finished by hand by Kyoto bamboo craftsmen.
A hand-woven bamboo trivet for donabe pots, frying pans and oven dishes - strong, heat-tolerant and beautiful enough to leave on the table.
